Angle grinder attachments let one 4-inch or 5-inch grinder work as a cut-off saw, a guided cutting saw, a belt sander, an oscillating multi-tool, a small chainsaw or a drill, for Rs 800 to Rs 7,000 each instead of the price of a separate machine. They make sense for occasional jobs and small workshops. If you cut timber, sand or drill every day, a dedicated tool will be safer, faster and kinder to your grinder.

Before buying anything, check two things on your grinder: the spindle thread and the disc size. Most attachments below are built for the M10 spindle found on 4-inch (100mm) grinders, and only some also fit the M14 spindle on 5-inch (125mm) grinders. All prices are Punjab Tools prices, October 2026 — check the product page for today's price.

If you own a common 4-inch grinder, almost every attachment in this guide will fit. Owners of 5-inch grinders should stick to the items marked "4-inch and 5-inch" or "M10/M14". The 12V mini grinder uses 76mm discs and is not listed as compatible with any of these converters.

Grinder stands: turn a grinder into a cut-off saw

Grinder stands are the most practical attachments here, because they turn shaky freehand cuts into straight, repeatable ones. The right grinder stand price in Pakistan depends on how much support you need:

  • Base Bracket (Rs 1,400): Clamps on a 4-inch grinder and gives it a flat sole with a depth stop. Good for grooving and straight slots. Depth adjusts vertically only.
  • Professional Cutting Stand (Rs 2,600): Works like a small circular-saw base, with 0–45° tilt, 0–40mm depth and a guide ruler. Use it for straight cuts in marble, tile, PVC pipe and thin boards, with the right disc for the material.
  • [TS 125/100 stand](/product/universal-angle-grinder-stand-ts-125100-professional-cut-off-stand-for-4-and-5-grinders) (Rs 4,000): A cast-iron chop stand with a spring-loaded arm and a 0–45° vice. Ideal for steel pipe, saria and aluminium sections up to its 30mm cutting depth.
  • [Sliding stand with vise clamp](/product/sliding-angle-grinder-stand-with-vise-clamp-universal-100mm125mm-45-inch-cut-off-stand) (Rs 7,000): Dual slide rails let the grinder travel forward, so it handles wider pieces than a fixed stand. The vise opens to 150mm and swivels to 45°.

Bolt any stand to a bench before use. If you regularly cut heavy sections beyond 30mm, a grinder stand is the wrong tool; the Sared 14-inch cut-off saw handles round stock up to 125mm.

Chainsaw attachment and carving disc

The 12-Inch Chain Saw Stand Attachment (Rs 3,800) mounts a 12-inch bar and chain on a 4-inch M10 grinder. It has a guard, a handle and an oil reservoir; the oil bottle comes empty, so fill it before the first cut. It suits occasional jobs like trimming branches or cutting a few logs.

Be honest about the limits. The attachment does not list a chain brake, and a chain driven by a fast grinder can kick back hard. Always use both hands, keep the guard on, never cut above shoulder height or from a ladder, and keep the bar tip away from anything it could catch. If you cut firewood or prune trees regularly, buy a dedicated chainsaw like the Sared 21V brushless 10-inch chainsaw, which has an automatic oil pump and a safety lock trigger.

The 4" Chainsaw Carving Disc (Rs 1,200) is a 22-tooth chain on a 5mm steel core with a 16mm arbor, rated for 10,000–13,000 RPM. Common 4-inch grinders at 11,000 RPM sit inside that range. Use it for hollowing bowls, notching timber and shaping, with the work clamped down and the guard on. It is aggressive, so it is not a first project for beginners.

Belt sander and oscillating converters

Belt sander attachments turn the grinder into a narrow belt sander for knife bevels, weld smoothing, rust on pipes and rounding wooden edges. The M10 and M14 version fits both 4-inch and 5-inch grinders and takes standard 15 x 452mm belts; the DIY version fits 4-inch M10 grinders and includes two belts. The listing recommends a variable-speed grinder, which makes the multi-speed 21V cordless grinder a good match.

The Oscillating Multi-Tool Converter (Rs 2,650) changes rotation into roughly 3° side-to-side movement. It comes with two straight blades, a triangular sanding pad and sandpaper, and accepts standard multi-tool blades. Use it for flush-cutting door frames, scraping old tile grout and removing adhesive.

Who should skip it: carpenters doing detail work all day. A grinder held sideways is bulkier than a dedicated multi-tool, and your hands will feel it by evening.

Drill chuck and drill-bit sharpener

The Grinder to Drill Conversion Kit is the cheapest item here at Rs 800. It screws on M10 or M14 spindles and holds bits from 1.5mm to 10mm in a keyed chuck. It is useful on-site for an odd hole in sheet metal, wood or plastic when you did not bring a drill.

It is not a drill replacement. A grinder spins far faster than a drill machine, has no hammer action for brick or concrete, and gives you little control at low speed, so larger bits overheat and grab. If you drill weekly, buy a drill: the Sared SR-EID-J1301 costs Rs 7,000. See our drill attachments guide for going the other way.

The Drill Bit Sharpener (Rs 1,500) mounts on the safety guard of a 4-inch grinder and holds blunt bits at a fixed angle against the disc. It works with HSS and masonry bits. Dip the bit in water between passes; overheated HSS turns blue and loses its hardness.

Glass cutting disc and diamond chamfer bit

The Glass Cutting Disc (Rs 1,500) is a 1mm diamond disc for glass bottles, ceramic and porcelain tile, jade and crystal. Let the disc do the work with light pressure, support the piece fully, and wear eye protection and a dust mask, because glass dust is harmful to breathe.

The Diamond Chamfer Bit (Rs 1,950) screws onto an M10 spindle and bevels the edge of holes in tile, marble and granite, which the listing says reduces the risk of cracks later. It works dry, though water extends its life. Tile fixers can find the rest of their kit in our tile installation tools guide.

Safety rules for every grinder attachment

  1. Unplug the grinder (or remove the battery) before fitting or adjusting any attachment.
  2. Match ratings. A disc's RPM rating must be at or above your grinder's speed.
  3. Keep guards on, and use the side handle whenever the attachment allows it.
  4. Clamp the work. Never hold small pieces by hand while cutting.
  5. Wear protection: eye protection or a face shield, ear protection, and a mask for glass, stone and wood dust.
  6. Respect heat and voltage. Attachments add load. In 40°C summers, rest the grinder when the body gets hot, blow dust out of the vents, and avoid heavy cuts during low-voltage hours.

Our power tool safety guide covers kickback, PPE and electrical safety in more detail.

Which angle grinder attachments are worth buying?

  • Metal fabricators and welders: the TS 125/100 or sliding stand, plus the M10/M14 belt sander for cleaning welds.
  • Carpenters and DIY woodworkers: the oscillating converter and the professional cutting stand.
  • Occasional garden work: the 12-inch chainsaw attachment; for regular cutting, a real chainsaw.
  • Tile and marble fixers: the glass cutting disc and diamond chamfer bit.
  • Any workshop with drill bits: the drill bit sharpener pays for itself quickly.

No grinder yet? The Sared 0401 (850W, M10, Rs 4,800) fits every 4-inch attachment above. Compare it with other models in our angle grinder price guide.
