The cordless impact wrench price in Pakistan is Rs 17,500 to Rs 27,500 at Punjab Tools in October 2026. The Sared 21V Brushless Cordless Impact Wrench is Rs 17,500 with two 3.0Ah batteries, and the Dartek A7-6815 Brushless Cordless Impact Wrench is Rs 27,500 with a listed 450 N.m of torque. Both are 1/2-inch drive, 21V brushless battery wrenches that comfortably handle car and pickup wheel nuts, suspension bolts and solar structure work.

This guide explains what torque figures really mean, which wrench suits a home garage versus a busy tyre shop, and the socket and battery mistakes that cost mechanics money.

Torque Explained: What 450 N.m Actually Means

Torque is turning force: the push you apply multiplied by the length of the lever. One newton-metre (N.m) is one newton of force on a one-metre bar. So 450 N.m is roughly what you'd get by standing a 45 kg person on the end of a one-metre bar, or about 332 ft-lb if you are used to imperial figures.

Two different torques matter when you work on wheels:

  • Tightening torque is the figure in your owner's manual. Most cars and light pickups specify somewhere around 80–140 N.m for wheel nuts, and small hatchbacks can be lower. Always check the manual for your vehicle.
  • Breakaway torque is what it takes to loosen a nut. Rust, mud and nuts that another shop hammered on with an air gun can need far more than the spec. That's why a tyre shop wants headroom well above the tightening figure.

Remember that a listed maximum torque is a peak measured under ideal conditions. Real output drops with a half-empty battery, long extension bars, universal joints and worn sockets.

JobWill a 1/2" cordless impact wrench handle it?
Hatchback and sedan wheel nutsYes, easily
SUV and pickup wheel nutsYes; a high-torque model helps with rusted nuts
Suspension, subframe and engine-mount boltsUsually; badly seized bolts may need heat or a breaker bar
Solar mounting structures, scaffolding, steel racksYes, it's ideal for repetitive bolting
Truck and bus wheel nutsNo, those need 3/4" or 1" drive heavy-duty tools
Engine head bolts and other precision fastenersNo, use a torque wrench

Dartek A7-6815 vs Sared 21V: Which Impact Wrench Should You Buy?

Dartek A7-6815 (Rs 27,500) — for tyre shops and heavy daily use

The Dartek's 450 N.m rating gives it the headroom a tyre shop needs for rusted and over-tightened nuts. The 2-speed selector is genuinely useful: low speed for running nuts on without stripping threads, high speed for breaking them loose. It comes with one A7 lithium battery (the listing doesn't state its Ah rating), a desktop fast charger and a hard case.

If you run the wrench all day, budget for a second battery. Replacement batteries and original Dartek chargers are available from us, so you can add one now or later.

Sared 21V Brushless (Rs 17,500) — best value for mechanics and home garages

When you compare impact wrench price in Pakistan, count what's in the box, not just the tool. The Sared kit is the better deal on paper: two 3.0Ah batteries, a fast charger, grease and a case for Rs 10,000 less. The LED and variable-speed trigger help in engine bays and under-chassis work. Sared doesn't publish a torque figure for this model, so we can't promise a number; it is built for lug nuts and heavy-duty bolts, but if your daily work is rusted pickup nuts, the rated Dartek is the safer bet.

Cordless vs Air Impact Wrench for Tyre Shops

Most tyre shops in Pakistan run a pneumatic (air) impact gun off a compressor. It's a proven setup, so here is the honest comparison:

  • Cordless wins on mobility. No compressor, no hose. You can do roadside puncture call-outs, work in a customer's driveway or move between bays freely.
  • Cordless keeps working in load shedding. Charged batteries carry on when the compressor has no power and the generator isn't running.
  • Air wins on runtime. As long as the compressor runs, an air gun never needs charging, and if you already own a compressor, an air gun costs less.
  • Batteries are a running cost. Lithium packs wear out over the years, so price in a replacement eventually.

Many shops end up keeping both: the air gun at the main bay, and a cordless wrench for roadside jobs and power cuts.

Sockets (Goti) for an Impact Wrench

Sockets are where most buyers go wrong. Use impact-rated sockets on any impact wrench. They are usually black, thicker-walled and made from tougher steel. Chrome hand sockets are harder and more brittle, and under constant hammering they can crack or split, which is dangerous at these torques.

The 12 Pcs 1/2" Drive Socket Wrench Set (Rs 1,950) is a Cr-V hand-ratchet set, and its listing says so. It's a great set for hand work, final tightening and as a backup in the van, but don't put it on the impact wrench. The 46 Pcs 1/4" Drive Socket Set (Rs 2,500) covers bikes, interiors and small fasteners; its 1/4-inch sockets don't fit a 1/2-inch anvil anyway.

Common wheel-nut sizes are 17, 19 and 21 mm, but check every vehicle you service before buying impact sockets. And keep extensions short; every extension and universal joint you stack eats torque.

How to Use an Impact Wrench on Wheel Nuts

  1. With the car on the ground and the handbrake on, break each nut loose in reverse.
  2. Jack the car up and support it on a stand before removing the nuts. Never work under a car held only by a jack.
  3. Fit the wheel and start every nut by hand to avoid cross-threading.
  4. Run the nuts on at low speed until they are just snug. On the Dartek, use the low-speed setting; on the Sared, feather the trigger.
  5. Lower the car and do the final tightening in a star pattern with a torque wrench or wheel spanner, to the figure in the owner's manual.
  6. On alloy wheels, re-check the nuts after the first 50–100 km.

Hammering nuts fully tight with an impact wrench stretches studs, can distort brake discs, and leaves the owner unable to open them with the factory spanner at the roadside. Good shops tighten by hand for the final step, and customers notice.

Battery, Heat and Load Shedding: Pakistan Tips

  • Charge when the power is on. Keep one battery on charge while the other works, which is where the Sared's two-battery kit pays off.
  • Keep batteries out of the sun. A battery left on a dashboard or in a hot tin-roofed shop in June ages fast. Let a hot battery cool before charging.
  • Blow dust out of the vents. Tyre-shop dust and grit build up inside the motor housing; a weekly clean helps the tool run cooler.
  • Store in the case. Loose tools get dropped, and a cracked battery housing is the start of bigger problems.

Our Recommendation

  • Tyre shops, mobile puncture services and heavy daily use: the Dartek A7-6815 at Rs 27,500, plus a spare battery. The rated 450 N.m and 2-speed control justify the price.
  • Mechanics, home garages and solar installers: the Sared 21V at Rs 17,500. Two batteries and an LED make it the best value cordless impact wrench we stock.
  • Don't buy one if you change a tyre once a year (your car's wheel spanner or a 1/2-inch ratchet set will do), you work on truck and bus wheels (you need a bigger tool), or you actually need to drill holes.

That last point catches people out. An impact wrench has a square anvil for sockets; a cordless impact drill has a chuck for drill bits and a hammer mode for masonry. If drilling is the job, read our best cordless drill guide or our explainer on rotary hammers vs impact drills.
