The Sared 21V Cordless 10-Inch Chainsaw is the only dedicated chainsaw we sell. Its listing gives:

Two honest cautions. First, the listed package does not include a battery or charger. If you already own Sared 21V tools, send us a photo of your battery on WhatsApp so we can confirm the fit; if you do not, ask us before ordering. Second, the warranty is a 7-day checking warranty on motor and switch, and the listing states that chains and bars are wear parts and that a motor burnt by running without oil is not covered. Fill the oil reservoir before every session.
A 10-inch cordless chainsaw suits pruning, clearing branches, cutting firewood logs and fence posts. It is not built for felling large trees. Stock on this model can run out, so check the product page before you plan a job around it.
Grinder and drill conversion kits (Rs 1,200 – 3,800)
If you already own a 4-inch grinder or a drill, a conversion kit is the cheapest way to cut branches.
- 12-Inch Chain Saw Bracket Kit (Rs 3,000): fits 4-inch and 5-inch grinders with M10 or M14 spindles and a 42–43mm collar. It has a die-cast aluminium bracket, a front guard baffle, an auxiliary handle and an oil reservoir.
- 12-Inch Chain Saw Stand Attachment (Rs 3,800): fits most 4-inch M10 grinders, with a guard, handle and oil reservoir. The oil bottle arrives empty.
- Drill to Mini Chainsaw Adapter (Rs 2,200): fits any drill chuck and runs a 4-inch or 6-inch bar, for thin branches and light pruning.
- 4" Chainsaw Carving Disc (Rs 1,200): a chain disc for carving, notching and shaping wood that is clamped down. It is not a log saw.
Neither grinder kit lists a chain brake, and a grinder was designed to spin discs, not to drive a chain. These kits are fine for occasional work if you follow the rules: two hands, guard on, no cutting with the bar tip, nothing above shoulder height. What a conversion really costs. If you already own the grinder, the bracket kit is Rs 3,000. If you do not, a Sared 0401 (Rs 4,800) plus the bracket kit comes to Rs 7,800. That is much cheaper than the cordless chainsaw, but you are tied to a socket and you get none of the chainsaw's built-in safety features.
Who needs which wood cutting machine
Home gardeners. A few trees in the lawn or a guava tree in the courtyard? The drill adapter handles thin branches if you already own a drill. For thicker branches near the house, the grinder bracket kit does the job, used from the ground and never above shoulder height.
Farmers and orchard owners. If you prune kinnow, mango or guava trees every season, or clear branches along field boundaries, buy the Sared cordless chainsaw. There is no cable to drag across the field, no generator to carry, and the automatic oiler means one less thing to remember. Charge the batteries whenever the power is on so load shedding does not stop the work.
Firewood for winter. For a few logs for the angeethi, a grinder kit near a socket is enough. If you cut lakri every week through winter, or for a tandoor, the cordless chainsaw is faster and safer. Splitting thick logs is still a job for an axe.

Wood carvers and hobbyists. The carving disc on a 4-inch grinder hollows bowls and shapes timber quickly. Clamp the work and keep the guard on.
Large trees. None of these tools are for felling big trees or cutting storm-damaged trunks under tension. Hire someone experienced with proper equipment.

Electric vs petrol chainsaw
People often ask about petrol chainsaws. We do not sell them, so we will not quote prices, but the general differences are worth knowing. A petrol saw carries its own fuel and suits heavy, all-day forestry work, but it is louder, needs a fuel and oil mix, and takes more maintenance. A battery chainsaw like the Sared starts at the press of a trigger, makes no fumes and suits pruning and firewood around homes and farms. For the work most of our customers do, cordless is the simpler choice.
Chainsaw care in Pakistani conditions
- Oil every time. Fill the reservoir before you start and check it during long sessions. A dry chain wears the bar and can burn the motor.
- Keep the chain sharp. A sharp chain throws chips; a blunt one makes fine dust and needs pushing. File the cutters or replace the chain when it stops pulling itself into the wood.
- Check tension when cold and after the first cuts. New chains stretch.
- Clean after use. Sawdust and summer dust pack into the bar groove and the oil outlet. Brush them out before you put the saw away.
